Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington has been a Greek American columnist, author and entrepreneur for more than twenty years. She's the co-founder and CEO of Thrive Global, as well as the author of fifteen books. Arianna Huffington is a writer and philanthropist as well as a television host and owner of the independently open online newsmagazine The Huffington Post. Her move from Greece to England at the age of 16 and earned an MA at Cambridge University in Economics. The first ever foreign-born student to hold the position of president in the famous debating group The Cambridge Union, at age 21 she took on the role. She was a syndicated conservative writer following her graduation. The newspaper was ranked as in the 12th spot on Forbes' list. The Guardian also included her to the list of top 100 media for 2009. In the year 2011, AOL Inc. bought The Huffington Post and made her the head of the media unit, which comprised of many existing AOL properties, including Engadget AOL music Style list and Patch Media. Elli Stasinopoulos was a daughter born to Konstantinos an advisor to management and a journalist. They were very close to her father. However, it was her relationship with her mother who formed her. In her earliest years she showed leadership abilities that are still highly regarded. As a 16-year-old the girl moved into her home in United Kingdom for her higher education. At Girton College Cambridge. In the time of her studies she was a member of the Cambridge Union debating group where she was elected the first woman and the sole foreign president. She graduated in 1972 with a Masters in Economics. Following her graduation, she was employed as a columnist critic, and as a host on television. In addition, along with Bernard Levin she appeared on an edition of Face the music.
