Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington has been a Greek American columnist, author and businesswoman for more than 20 years. She is the author of fifteen books. She is also the co-founder the magazine The Huffington Post. Arianna Huffington is a writer, television personality, philanthropist as well as the founder and editor of The Huffington Post. Originally from Greece she moved to England when she was sixteen and then graduated from Cambridge University with an MA in Economics. As the first foreign student to be elected president in the prestigious debate club The Cambridge Union, at 21 years old she took over the presidency. Her popularity as a conservative journalist was further consolidated when she finished her degree. With the introduction of The Huffington Post a few months later, she launched an online voice portal that offered an honest assessment of the current political situation. Her fame led to the recruitment of a number of famous contributors who shared their opinions on the news political, culture and politics. Arianna became famous after she made the decision in 2003 to become an Independent candidate in the California Recall Election to replace the Governor Davis. Also, she was the head of the Detroit energy-efficient vehicle project. Forbes declared her to be the "most powerful female" within the field of media with her ranking at the 12th spot. Guardian placed her on their list of 100 top media personalities in 2009. In the year 2011, AOL Inc. purchased The Huffington Post and made her president of that media unit, which comprised of many at the time-current AOL properties, including Engadget AOL music Style list and Patch Media. Elli was born to Konstantinos Stasinopoulos and Elli, who are both journalist and management consultants. Though she shared a close friendship with both her father and mother and father, it was their relationship which shaped her. Even as a young girl, she showed leadership traits that she's still known for. at the age of 16 she relocated into the United Kingdom to pursue her studies and enrolled in Girton College Cambridge. In the time of her studies, she belonged to Cambridge Union. Cambridge Union debating group where she was elected the first woman and the only foreign president. In 1972, she earned an MA in Economics. Her career as a journalist and television host was born after graduation. Her appearance in Face the music with Bernard Levin was a notable one. She started writing books, taking his help for editing.
