Harry Edward Styles or Harry Styles in the way he's known in the world of pop music, is an British singing and composing. Harry Styles belongs to the band One Direction. Born in Holmes Chapel (Cheshire), England the 1st of February, 1994. He is the son of Des Styles, and Anne Cox. Harry Styles studied at the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School, where he created his own group of musicians with 3 classmates. The band was named the White Eskimo. Their excellent performances helped them take home the Battle of Bands 2009. He was always interested in music, but also wanted to work as an attorney, physiotherapist or even a scout. As a worker in the city's bakery Harry Styles managed to provide for his family. Harry Styles performed Is not She Lovely (Stevie Wonder) during the auditions in 2010 for The X Factor. For that reason his band had to separate. The audition was held on The X Factor the jury Nicole Scherzinger suggested that Harry Styles would be a part of the group that was to be called One Direction along with Liam Payne Zayn Malik Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell sponsored this five-person group and they were founded in the year 2010. They sang Kelly Clarkson's My Life Would Be Sucky Without You as well as Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart at the time of the contest. This allowed them to become the frontrunners to win the competition. However, they finished third behind Rebecca Ferguson, and the winner Matt Cardle. Harry Styles was not the winner, but Cowell had paid two million pounds in a contract for One Direction.
